A Note from the Publisher: Congratulations Graduates!

By Carrie Boyle - Publisher, Macaroni Kid Buffalo Northtowns June 11, 2020

On my morning walk today I passed by Pixie Village Pre-school.  Out front it was decorated with banners and balloons celebrating their little graduates for a drive-up ceremony one student at a time.  By the time I walked back, I watched an excited graduate gathering with his family for pictures and sharing in the moment with his favorite teachers.  It made me tear up both for the precious moment in this child's life that I was witnessing from afar; and also because of the current situation and that so many have to experience some sort of alternative graduation celebration like this one.

Tomorrow my stepson will do a bus loop drive by to say goodbye to middle school as he finishes the 8th grade.  Graduation ceremonies are being held at drive in movie theatres, via live streaming videos, and more.  However it is that your family is celebrating the graduate in your household - CONGRATULATIONS to them!  Whether they are moving on to kindergarten, advancing from elementary school, preparing to (hopefully) walk the halls of high school this fall, or are moving on to college or their career path - I wish them the best and hope that they can find some bright shining moments out of all the craziness and change they have experienced these last few months!

Great job to all the classes of 2020!!!  (and to the mama's and papa's that helped get them there!!)

With lots of mama love,

Carrie
