My heart is warmed when I see all the amazing ways our local business have found ways to reach, teach, influence, and deliver what they do during these times. From craft kits for pick of and delivery (check out this weeks article for last minute Mother's Day crafts you can still order!), printables to help occupy our kiddos and teach them, and finding ways to use technology to virtually reach our children - our businesses have truly stepped up. I just want to again say THANK YOU for all those efforts. I know it has made this situation an little brighter to to still see familiar faces on computer screens and have activities available that awaken their senses just like they would in their classes! Please keep supporting them - it means the world!
My heart aches for those businesses that do not have a way to do business and reach our children outside of their four walls. I know they miss see the smiles on the faces of what has become family to them over time, and I can't wait until we can join them again! If these businesses are ones you can support in any way now, please do! And of course, when those doors open again, the best gift you can give is to patronize as they work to recover this from hit.
My heart is heavy for those affected so strongly by this pandemic that they have sadly had to close for good. I know we will see these amazing leaders and influencers down the road as they find ways to again reach and teach our younger generation and my thoughts are with them and their families during these difficult times. We love you and what you have done for our community!
Finally, my heart is with all of you. Many of our kids are missing their friends, activities, and more - and may not understand why they can't do things that are so normal and familiar to them. I hope have been able to find ways to create new ways to play, enjoy the extra family time you may have, and find some bright lights during these hard days! I'm thinking of you all!
